Ingredients

Scale

Proteins

  • 8 oz flank or skirt steak, thinly sliced against the grain

Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 medium yellow or white onion, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

Seasonings & Sauces

  • 1 tablespoon Blackstone seasoning blend (smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, black pepper)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari

Oils

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness, chop bell peppers and onions into bite-sized pieces, and mince the garlic cloves to keep the cooking process smooth and fast.
  2. Heat the Blackstone Griddle: Preheat your griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and allow it to get hot enough to sizzle the beef on contact, which seals in juices and flavor.
  3. Sear the Beef: Place the beef strips in a single layer on the hot surface and season generously with the Blackstone seasoning blend. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still juicy inside. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the remaining oil if needed, then add onions and bell peppers. Stir frequently until they soften slightly but retain some crunch, about 4–5 minutes. Add minced garlic last and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Combine and Finish: Return the beef to the griddle with the vegetables, pour in soy sauce or tamari, and toss together to blend flavors for 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh herbs if using.

Notes

  • Preheat the griddle or pan until very hot before adding the beef to achieve the perfect sear.
  • Slice beef thinly to ensure quick cooking and tenderness.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary to maintain high heat and avoid steaming.
  • Use freshly ground spices for maximum aroma and flavor intensity.
  • Allow cooked beef to rest for a couple of minutes to keep juices locked in.
