Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound with a meat mallet or rolling pin until about 1/4 inch thick for even cooking and easy rolling.
  2. Layer Ham and Cheese: On each flattened chicken breast, lay a slice of ham, then top with a slice of Swiss cheese, leaving a small border around edges to seal the roll properly.
  3. Roll and Secure: Carefully roll the chicken breast over the ham and cheese, tucking in the sides to enclose the filling. Secure each roll with toothpicks to hold everything in place during cooking.
  4. Coat the Rolls: Lightly season the flour with salt and pepper, then dredge each chicken roll in the flour mixture. Dip into beaten eggs, then coat generously with breadcrumbs to form a crispy crust.
  5. Bake until Golden: Place the chicken rolls on a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the chicken is fully cooked through.
