Ingredients

Scale

Biscuit Base

  • 1 package ready-made biscuit dough (soft, flaky)

Cheese Filling

  • About 1 cup fresh or shredded mozzarella cheese

Seasonings and Toppings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted, for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace and Ingredients: Preheat the oven to the temperature directed on the biscuit dough package, usually around 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients, shred mozzarella if needed, and mix garlic powder with melted butter to create garlic butter for brushing.
  2. Shape the Biscuit Bombs: Separate biscuit dough into individual rounds. Slightly flatten each round on a clean surface, place a small handful of mozzarella cheese in the center, then fold the dough over the cheese and pinch edges tightly to seal completely, forming a ball shape.
  3. Add Seasoning and Bake: Place biscuit bombs seam side down on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops generously with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the tops. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve Warm and Gooey: Allow biscuit bombs to cool for a couple of minutes after baking to avoid burns from hot cheese. Serve warm to enjoy the perfect melty texture and rich garlic-mozzarella flavor.

Notes

  • Sealing is key: Pinch dough edges tightly to prevent cheese from leaking during baking.
  • Use fresh mozzarella for a gooey center with higher moisture content.
  • Don’t overcrowd the baking pan—leave space for biscuit bombs to rise evenly.
  • Brush butter twice—before baking and halfway through—to achieve a golden, crisp crust.
  • Best served immediately while warm and fresh from the oven for optimal flavor and texture.
